Some musicians
There's one thing I've noticed that some musicians do. They go party like everyday, get drunk, smoke and what not as if they must. Nobody is telling you to do it just because you're a creative, and in this case: a musician. No one is expecting you to "party like a rockstar." You don't have to do these things to get a certain image. Not that I am against these things, I mean I love partying and socializing and drinking from time to time but it is because I want to do it, not because I feel like I have to. I am not obliged to these things, and if there's anything I am obliged to do it is to do what I love and make music, nothing more. I am just saying this because it sadddens me when I see fellow musicians "trying hard" to fit in because they think they have to. The thing is, you've already fit in from the start. And to be honest? I believe people will respect you and your music more if you actually show them how much music means to you than anything else. More than all the partying and drinking, etc. Sometimes I honestly feel that there's not much music being produced because most of our time our wasted on partying and getting drunk instead. Set priorities would be good, perhaps? Well, it's just me.
